Submission of Claims

The complaint must include clear and documented evidence supporting the claim that the material was previously published, copyrighted, or patented by the aggrieved party before the publication of the concerned article in IJITCE. The evidence may include, but is not limited to:

·       Original publication details

·       Copyright registration documents

·       Patent documentation, where applicable

·       Official links or records proving prior publication

·       Any other relevant supporting materials

Review and Investigation

Upon receipt of a copyright infringement claim, the Editorial Board of IJITCE will carefully review the submitted evidence. If the claim is considered suitable for investigation, the corresponding author of the concerned article will be notified and requested to provide a detailed explanation.

The evaluation and discussion process will be conducted fairly and transparently, ensuring that both the claimant and the author(s) have an opportunity to present relevant information.

Editorial Decision

The Editorial Board of IJITCE will determine the appropriate editorial action after examining the evidence and responses received. Based on the findings:

·       If the claim is substantiated, the journal may take appropriate action, which may include correction, retraction, or removal of the article from the journal’s website, in accordance with its editorial policies and applicable legal requirements.

·       If the issue involves minor corrections, such as missing citations, references, or acknowledgements, the author(s) may be requested to submit a corrected version incorporating the necessary amendments.

·       Any corrected or revised manuscript may be subject to editorial assessment or peer review, as appropriate.

Where an article has already been distributed or indexed by third-party services, IJITCE may notify the relevant platforms of the editorial decision. The journal cannot guarantee the removal or modification of records maintained independently by external databases or repositories.

Response Time

IJITCE treats copyright-related concerns with priority. A formal acknowledgement or initial response will normally be issued within three (5) working days, provided the claim includes adequate contact details and supporting evidence. The time required to complete an investigation may vary depending on the complexity of the case and the information available.
